Should I get a lawyer for a DUI? Is it better to hire one before or after my arraignment?
I recently got booked for a DUI in Los Angeles. My breathalyzer tests registered me at .16 and .13 roadside and at the station, respectively . I've already set up a DMV hearing for myself and put a stay of suspension on my driver's license, but I have yet to hire an attorney. I've consulted with many, but so far I've mostly gotten the same blanket reassurances from all of them, along with tips and information about the legal system that are downright contradictory with one another e.g., some have told me the best plea bargains come at the first hearing, while others tell me the best deals come at later hearings . Is it worth it to hire an attorney? And, if I do, should I hire one before my arraignment hearing, or wait until after it, at which time I would have a copy of the police report and all the evidence compiled against me? Thanks in advance Basically, I'm wondering if I'll get a clearer, more straightforward assessment of my case from a potential attorney if I wait until I have a police report compiled evidence to present to him herSo, everytime I consult a new lawyer, he she ends up telling me, " the results depend on the facts of the case, every one is different. Hire me now, and I'll be able to tell you more after I get all the evidence paperwork" . That's why I'm asking whether I should wait until I get the paperwork myself at my arraignment before hiring a lawyer, so that I can get a more concrete answer as to the possibilities of my case.
One family member retains a lawyer to draft a family business contract involving 5 members. Lawyer represents?
The lawyer told the 5 family members that his primary client is the person who retained him and pays the bill, but he further says the other 4 are also his clients regarding the drafting of the contract. Later after the contract has been executed one person feels cheated. Is she screwed or did the lawyer mess up?
Is lawyers more important than police?
What does it mean when a lawyer says they can not represent you because the prosecutor is going to be with you?
A friend of mine was recently apart of a domestic violence case. She talked to a lawyer and was told that the lawyer could not represent her because the prosecutor is going to be with her. What does that mean? Or can anyone enlighten me on some of the rules of a case like this.

Legal Forms...What are the forms called and how can I obtain them without a lawyer?
I am searching for the proper forms to file in probate court to contest a will. I have been told I can file the forms for a small fee, but the forms are not available online nor at the court building. I spoke with an attorney whom will file them for thousands of dollars, but will not give me the name of the forms nor indicate where or how to obtain them. It would probably be helpful to know the numbers printed on the form. Knowing where and how to obtain them will be great.

Overtime/commission issue with my employer. should i get my lawyer involved for their noncooperation?
I have worked for a particular company for over two years now and I have had a constant battle with the human resources department. My hourly rate is below minimum wage because I do make commission. A paycheck from 2008 states that I was paid overtime making my hourly rate time and a half. Recently and a couple of times throughout the past year I have gotten paid overtime and only got my hourly rate. Since I am a commission plus hourly non salary employee is the company required to pay me time and a half for any hours worked over 40 in a week? Is it ever required for companies to pay time and half with your average commission? My second issue is that this employer requires weekly meetings and trainings every month accounting for at least 10 hours of my work month. During these trainings and meetings I am getting paid less than minimum wage. Is it required they pay me at least minimum wage because I am required to attend a non commissioned meetings training? I asked my management about the issue and they stated that the knowledge I gain from the meetings trainings will improve my commission which is why they do not pay minimum wage. Sounds unfair. These meetings are required for every employee non salary .Any advice would be great, thanks.
